STRUCTURAL LINING – SPRAYWALL®

SprayWall® Structural Lining — The SIPP Alternative Built for Longevity
Overview
SprayWall® is a high-density polyurethane (HDPU) spray-in-place pipe (SIPP) lining system applied robotically by QIS-certified crews. Unlike thermoset CIPP, SprayWall™ is structurally independent — it does not rely on the host pipe for structural contribution and will not delaminate, collapse, or creep under sustained load. QIS is a Sprayroq Certified Partner and one of the few contractors in Western Canada with robotic large-diameter application capability (4″ to 108″, up to 180 metres per setup).
Our structural lining process using SprayWall® involves meticulous preparation and application to ensure long-lasting results. This process not only enhances the structural integrity of the pipeline, but also provides exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring durability and reliability.
How does SprayWall lining work?
SprayWall® structural lining is applied as a seamless coating that reinforces and protects existing infrastructure without the need for excavation. At QIS, we deliver advanced structural lining services designed to reinforce manholes, pipelines, and underground structures while providing long-term corrosion resistance and durability. Our solutions are engineered to perform in demanding environments across Canada and the United States.
What is SIPP pipe lining?
Structural lining, also known as SIPP (Spray-In-Place Pipe), pipe lining or trenchless pipe lining, is a modern solution for rehabilitating pipelines without excavation. This method provides a seamless and durable lining that restores structural integrity and extends the life of existing infrastructure.
This trenchless method minimizes disruption while delivering long-lasting structural performance.

Preparation
Proper surface preparation is critical to ensure the success of structural lining applications.
Thorough Cleaning: The structure is cleaned to remove debris, grease, and contaminants, ensuring optimal adhesion of the SprayWall® material.
Surface Repair and Smoothing: Any voids, cracks, or damaged areas are repaired using appropriate materials to create a uniform surface prior to coating application.
Once the surface is properly prepared, the SprayWall® structural lining is applied.
Application List
WHERE SPRAYWALL™ IS SPECIFIED: — Storm sewer and sanitary pipelines (100mm–2700mm) — Corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culverts — Concrete box culverts — Steel and concrete manholes — Wet wells and lift stations — Water transmission mains (NSF/ANSI 61) — Highway culverts under live traffic load — Industrial process piping and vessels — Penstocks and hydro infrastructure
SprayWall® Application: A high-build, fast-curing polyurethane coating is applied to form a seamless, joint-free lining that reinforces the structure.
QIS-360 Robotic Plataform
For large-diameter pipelines (24″ to 108″), QIS deploys the QIS-360 — a proprietary robotic lining platform engineered for confined space application. The QIS-360 delivers uniform, consistent HDPU lining at controlled thickness from inside the pipe, eliminating the variability of hand-spray application. Capabilities: — Diameter range: 24″ to 108″ — Single setup: up to 180 metres of continuous lining — Confined space rated: compliant with BC confined space entry regulations — Real-time thickness monitoring and QC documentation — Applicable to steel, concrete, HDPE, CMP and masonry hosts This capability is currently available from very few contractors in Western Canada.
